Desert Oasis

I was fiddling around with some desert terrain and wanted to make a desert oasis. Dont mind the tower, it's to give vision, here's an early draft:

The Galaxy Editor is upon us...

According to all of the game news websites, there will be a patch this week for the Starcraft II beta that will have the infamous Galaxy Editor attached to it. I can't put my excitement for this into words,

That is a link to one of the many articles telling us to get ready for the Galaxy Editor. I'm going to jump into some jungle terrain almost immediately. I won't be starting on any of my playable map ideas for the time being, I'll be getting familiar with the new tilesets and blending them together to create a realistic environment.  I'll post some terrain pictures once I get this editor in my hands. Check back over the course of the week to see!
I totally won't be able to sleep tonight.

Eagerly awaiting Galaxy Editor for Starcraft 2...

Creating maps, especially the terrain, is like art. For me, at least. Laugh it up, but you can't deny that a realistic looking world in game really draws you in. Most of my time spent on Warcraft 3 was fiddling around in the map editor, teaching myself through trial and error how to make great looking forests, deserts, pathways, rivers, etc.

I'm not great with triggers, in fact, I'm quite bad. My talent lies in creating some pretty good looking terrain, that doesn't hinder gameplay. This can be challenging sometimes because you can be so tempted to overload on doodads detailing a town, for example. You always have to remember to keep pathing open so units and heroes don't get stuck and run around like idiots because the pathing is messed up.

Once I get my eager hands onto this Galaxy Editor, I'll start posting tutorials for (do I even have any readers?) well, regardless, It's fun for me to write things out so they'll be there. The tutorials will be for specific things like creating realistic rivers, tiling, doodad placement, etc, to make your maps more pleasing to the players eye.

For now I will go play some Starcraft 2 ladder and get rushed, and die, because I'm too busy day dreaming of the galaxy editor.
~Cheers

I'm so sick of scammers, keyloggers, and hackers.

LEAVE ME ALONE. I was hacked once two years ago, for my World of Warcraft stuff. I was pretty oblivious to viruses back then, I didn't have an anti-virus. So back then, I'd say my computer was most likely infected with something that lead to my account being compromised. I can deal with that, I reformatted my computer and got all my stuff back.

I have stopped playing WoW, I dislike what the game has turned into, and I don't want to spend the time on it, I'm never playing it again. I haven’t played it in months, and I deleted all of my characters (just recently, I’ll get to that).

I quit WoW cold turkey back just before Christmas. I said my goodbyes, and moved on, and my account subscription expired on the 26th of the December. I spent the next month feeling positively liberated, when I woke up to an e-mail on the 24th of January, telling me that my account was under investigation for possible account trading and gold selling. I was thinking to myself, how the fuck? For a moment I figured it was one of those scam e-mails that you get, asking for you to log in and verify your account information (I have never fallen for these.)

I went to log into my Battle.net account, and my password was wrong. I got no e-mail saying my password had been changed, and I change the password to my e-mail on a weekly basis out of habit. So that’s a little confusing. Thankfully, I remembered my secret question answer and got my account back. There it was, my World of Warcraft account was banned.

How did these fuckers get onto my account when I have no viruses, key loggers, or haven’t fallen for any of their scam e-mails? My computer is scanned on a nightly basis by Avast! Internet Security 2010, and previously AVG Internet Security, I also scan on a weekly basis with Malwarebytes. My computer is clean.

Luckily I was already planning on going out to get Windows 7, so I had a clean install on a new Operating System. I got my WoW account unbanned - That poor fucker used his credit card to activate time on my account - Like I said earlier, I’d get to this point. I went on and deleted all of my characters to (hopefully) insure that’ll never happen again.

The question still stands, how was my account compromised? I guess I’ll never know.
